Breeding Groups for the 2026 Kidding Season

LCLL Alloy Brass' Group

Alloy had a fantastic breeding season in 2025 with a kidding percentage of 275% in his first year as a herdsire. Alloy produces vigorous kids with great confirmation. We retained 8 of his 12 doelings in 2025 and expect a productive season from him in 2026.

LCLL Panna Cotta

Panna's 2025 1st freshening resulted in a doeling and a buckling. The buckling was sold as a herdsire and we retained her doeling, LCLL Meringue. Panna's kids will be eligible as AKGA or NKR Purebred.

KCR Kopf Canyon Karaoke

Karaoke's 2025 2nd freshening yielded triplets. We retained her buckling as a wethered pack prospect, and we retained both her doelings, SMRL Dusky Moon and SMRL Silver Alloy for our breeding program. Her kids will be eligible for AKGA or NKR Purebred registry.

KCR Kopf Canyon Hekla

Hekla is a 2nd freshener in 2026. Her first freshening was with Kopf Canyon Ranch, producing twins. Hekla's kids will be eligible for registry as AKGA or NKR Purebred.

IAD Caycee

Caycee will be a 2nd freshener in 2026. She produced triplets last year - 2 doelings and a buckling - we retained both of her doelings, LCLL Geraldine and LCLL Alloy's Delight, both registered as 100% New Zealand with the NKR. Her 2026 kids will be eligible as 100% NZ with the NKR.

SMRL Bomb Cyclone's Group

Cyclone has the size and bulk to produce some great kids in 2026. There is much anticipation at Stony Mountain Ranch to see what his breeding combinations produce. His sire, LPR North Wind, had considerable heft and flashy color.

LCLL Solara

Solara will be a 1st freshener in 2026. We can't wait to see what this tri-colored do produces. Her kids will be eligible as Purebred through the NKR registry.

LCLL Dizzy Doez-It

Dizzy will be a first freshener in 2026. Her kids will be eligible as Percentage Kiko through the NKR registry.

LCLL Surrender

Surrender will have her 3rd freshening in 2026. She has a kidding percentage of 200%, with all doelings. We have retained a doeling from her every year and have truly wanted to retain all of her doelings, however, to keep variety in our program, we have sold her non-retained doelings into other breeding programs. Her kids will be eligible with the NKR registry as Purebred.

LCLL Leeli

Leeli will be a first freshener in 2026. Her dam, LPR Melanie, has a kidding percentage of 300% over 2 freshenings. Her kids will be eligible as NKR Purebreds.

SMRL Victory

Victory will have her first freshening in 2026. She is taking after her dam, Surrender, and expect some great kids from her. Her kids will be eligible for NKR registry as Purebred.

KCC Cornflower

We were saving Cornflower for a later combination with KCR Kopf Canyon Cold Iron, but unfortunately, somebody left a double-secured gate open, and her son, SMRL Bomb Cyclone, very effectively bred her in the 1-hour foray he had in the reserve containment. Cornflower's kids will go unregistered in 2026, possibly only to market. We retained both Cornflower's kids from her 1st freshening in 2025 as top performers from the kidding season.

KCR Kopf Canyon Cold Iron's Group

Cold Iron is ready for his first breeding season and will go with some new does that arrived at the ranch at the beginning of December. Once the girls have completed the ranch biosecurity protocols, they will go into a breeding pen with Cold Iron.
